Double-Sided Leather Strop

The Sharpal® Double-Sided Leather Strop is made for honing razor-sharp edges. Featuring genuine cowhide leather, one side is smooth and one suede side for various needs. Included are green honing compound and an angle guide to help you start your stroke at a consistent angle to enhance your sharpening efficiency. The board is made of a solid Beech block to guarantee reliable durability.

The strop works by realigning the very fine edge of the blade and polishing the blade’s surface. After use or sharpening, the blade will have a slight burr that catches when you attempt to cut. Stropping will cause the very fine edge of the blade to begin to align, while the compound polishes the edge. The angle guide will help you start your stroke at a consistent angle.
